How important is for you to keep your books in good condition?

For me it is very important, but do not want my books to find the 100% new. I do not want to look around San Judas, either, but I just want to make it appear that has been read. Does that make sense? I try to keep the covers in good condition but for me the words are in what matters most. ♥ M ♥

My books are important to me, but I use. Unlike some people, I have no qualms about highlighting them and even write in them. I use after most of the time, but makes no effort to keep my books unless it is a pristine I bought it strictly as a collectible. My books look lived in and I like it. I can shoot one of the platform and go through it, for the first time in a year or more, and enjoy seeing my old notes and comments, underlines and highlights. ** Two things Dogear will not do is break a page or spine of a cover hard.
