Blank Sony Dvd Media
DVD r/w drive will only read/write cd and read DVD’s?
Hi all i have a sony dvd cd r/w modle DW-D22A and a pioneer DVD-RW DVR-112D drives have only 1 drive installed at a time both drives will read/write cd’s and read DVD’s but if i put in a blank DVD it will read it as a cd and if i try to burn it as a cd it tells me it’s the wrong media.I have had the sony drive 4 about 2 years and it worked fine up untill a few weeks ago,I just thought the DVD laser was broken so i brought the pioneer one of a friend (it works fine on his computer) But i find i have the same problem,i have tryed reinstaling the drive,updating the drivers and now im at a loss any help would be much aprecated THANKS Paul
and yes i have the latest firmware
see if you have the latest firmware for it and make sure your using the correct media for the dvd rom
