Is there a way to put the DVR recordings to DVD?
We have Dish Network, but are changing. What need to transfer your recordings DVR to a DVD? Can you even record satellite TV to DVD?
We have a DVD recorder that is connected to one of the outputs of the DVR. This means that the DVD recorder can record anything which the DVR does not. For example, we note some programs to my parents who do not have cable or satellite. Once a week or so let's play shows on the DVR while recording on the DVD recorder, then send the DVD to my parents so they can see. When connecting the recorder DVD, be sure to connect the AV cables to the input of the DVD recorder. Connect the DVD recorder to the TV like a VCR. Now when you turn on the TV at the entrance in the DVD recorder is, and turning on the DVD recorder to the DVR is, you should see the screen on the TV DVR. Pop in a blank DVD disc, launch a Show on the DVR, and press the record button on the DVD recorder. When the program ends, press Stop on the DVD recorder. Tip: You can press the pause button DVD recorder when a commercial is on. Then you can move forward through commercials with the DVR remote. When the show comes back, push the button Pause the DVD recorder a 2nd time to resume recording. This saves space on the DVD which means you can include more episodes per disk.
