Onkyo Wireless Speakers
Any decent surround sound systems that have wireless capability?
What I would like: 5.1 surround sound optimized for the HD/Blu-Ray experience.
Limitations: I live in an apartment, so no drilling or wall mounting. It’s carpet, so wires are out too. That means the back speakers need to be wireless. I’m OK with a receiver, but I don’t want any other additional components (i.e. DVD player).
What I have: PS3, 32″ Samsung 1080i, Hi-Def cable, all connected with HDMI.
What has been recommended: Either an Onkyo or Harman/Kardon receiver with True HD/DTS-HD capabilities and a Bose speaker system. The Bose has a wireless capability for the back speakers for an additional $200.
So, do any of you audiophiles have any suggestions?
There is kit available from Best Buy called a Rocketfish rear wireless kit. It is a universal kit that works with any system. It’s about $105.00 and you are not bound to any one speaker system. It also does not incur interference from radio waves. Here’s the link.
