What is a First World country and a second world country?
I think most everyone knows what a third world country. Name a pair of first world countries and the second. I'd love to know.
A first world country is a democratic and developed, industrialized. Originally meant the United States and its allies. (Now includes Canada, USA, Western Europe, Japan, Australia, etc.) The second world used to be used for a communist country that is basically the USSR and its allies. We kind of do not use this anymore. (Used the participation of the USSR, China, North Korea, Eastern Europe, etc) is a third world country is not developed. Originally meant a country that was neutral or nonaligned. (Burma, East Timor, all Africa, most of the Middle East, etc.)
